In the personalized package, we integrate what your on-ice training load to what you will be doing in your strength and conditioning. We can add personalized warm-ups, activations, and exercises catered to your needs to build on your weaknesses. You will have the option to align your RECAST training with your competition schedule to make sure you are fast when you need to be.

The specialized program covers your basic and fundamental needs. You will receive a monthly strength and conditioning program that will have a training session to complete daily with Sundays off. This program will focus on improving your strength, agility, mobility, power and will provide warm up and cool down programs. The benefits don’t stop there, you will also have full access to the RECAST Speed Skating app, which is a platform that provides you the exercises you will need to do as a video with voice over explanation. There is also in-app messaging, and daily scheduling for you to keep track of your work out. You will also have two monthly zoom sessions with Olympic or World Cup skaters and Olympic trainers to discuss critical components of your training – everything from technique, racing strategy, equipment and sharpening, nutrition and mental training. This package does not include individual functional assessments, personalized strength training catering to your individual weaknesses.

The personalized program will begin with a full in-depth functional assessment that will be used to identify your movement and strength restrictions. This information will be used to build a customized program that directly targets improving your targeted areas in alignment with your goals. It will have a daily training session that will be synchronized with all your other training (on-ice, dryland, competition and peaking cycle etc.). This approach is important for injury prevention and to get the results you deserve. You will also have two 15min phone calls with an Olympic speed skater and trainer to ask questions, discuss your training, and wait – you can send them video for feedback and analysis. 24/7 open communication with RECAST Speed Skating, this personalized program will bring you to the next level. In addition, you will have access to all the features of the Specialized Program including: RECAST App platform with access to video exercises, in-app messaging, daily scheduler and the Zoom sessions featuring key performance components for speed skating. RECAST Speed Skating believes in making high-quality and speed skating specific training more accessible to all athletes and coaches to help with overall development of the sport. What we have at RECAST Speed Skating, is unique because we have a technical skating background and a deep understanding of how the body needs to move in order to skate. We have also been through all the stages of development personally and we understand how to deliver long term development. Our programming is speed skating specific. We have science-based knowledge on the biomechanics of speed skating. We understand what movements you need to be strong in, in order to have the skating position and technical execution on the ice that you need.
